A painting of the prodigal son

A painting of the prodigal son

The son did not find repentance in the far country. He found it in the arms of his father. Repentance is a change of mind and heart about the Father.
Repentance means changing your mind about God. It comes from a revelation of the Father’s heart. It then leads to a complete turnaround of life. It is a revelation of love and sonship.
The son came back with some changed attitudes but with no true?revelation of the grace and love of his father. He found that in the forgiving arms of the father.
You will never break free from your past by trying to be better, to do more for God or to be worthy before him. All your worthiness is found in him. As you discover how deeply the Father loves you and how fully and freely he has accepted you in Christ, your life will begin to turn around
