Covid grief has gripped millions of people across the world. It does not discriminate. From the inner cities to remote regions of our nations, there is scarcely a family or a group that has not been affected.
Grief is universal. Whatever else divides us we are united in our grief. We share the same agony no matter who we are or where we live. Whatever else the pandemic has done to us, it has at least re-connected us to our shared humanity.
Perhaps we can now stand up against those who are cynically promoting division in our societies. Whatever identity group we are told we belong to and however others categorise us, we are truly united in the shared identity of our common humanity.
