Exorcist: I?ve sent 160,000 demons to hell

The Catholic Church’s top exorcist, who claims to have sent 160,000 demons back to hell, says he wants Pope Francis to allow all priests to start performing the ritual to deal with a rising demand for exorcisms from the faithful.

Father Gabriele Amorth says the Pope?s prayer last Sunday was a ?real and proper? exorcism

Father Gabriele Amorth, 88, who also heads the International Association of Exorcists,?told The Sunday Times?that he will ask Pope Francis to allow all priests the right to do exorcisms without the church’s approval. According to the report, priests currently need special approval from their bishop to perform the rite and it is rarely granted.
“I will ask the pope to give all priests the power to carry out exorcisms, and to ensure priests are properly trained for these starting with the seminary. There’s a huge demand for them,” said Father Amorth.
He explained that he was inspired to make the request after watching Pope Francis perform what he insists was an?exorcism on a man “possessed by four demons “?in St. Peter’s Square.
“The pope is also the Bishop of Rome, and like any bishop he is also an exorcist,” Amorth?reportedly told?La Repubblica newspaper. “It was a real exorcism. If the Vatican has denied this, it shows that they understand nothing.”
“There was now, more than ever, a need for exorcists to combat people possessed by ‘sorcerers’ and ‘Satanists,'” he noted in that report.

Man claims to Be Jesus Christ The Messiah living in Australia

Matthew 24 – Watch out that no one deceives you for many will claim I am the Christ and fool many.

At long last, Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene have returned. Or at least that’s what one Australian couple wants you to think.
Cult watchers are keeping a close eye on the pair, actually named Alan John Miller and Mary Suzanne Luck, who under the title “Divine Truth” claim to be the second coming of the biblical figures.
“Just a little over 2000 years ago, we arrived on the Earth for the first time,” Miller says on his website. “Because of my personal desire and passion for God, as I grew, I recognized not only that I was the Messiah that was foretold by ancient prophets, but also that I was in a process designed by God that all humans could follow, if they so desired.”

Cult watchers are keeping a close eye on the pair, actually named Alan John Miller and Mary Suzanne Luck, who under the title “Divine Truth” claim to be the second coming of the biblical figures.

Miller, 47, and Luck, 32, have drawn in between 30 and 40 disciples since moving to the Wilkesdale region of Queensland in 2007, the Courier Mail reports.
“I don’t want to be Jesus. Who wants to be Jesus?” Miller told his followers. “But I love the divine truth.”
Australia’s Cult Awareness and Information Centre and the Anglican and Catholic churches are concerned that the couple, relying on supporter donations to sustain themselves, appeals to the vulnerable.
“The moment someone becomes God or God’s voice on Earth, it gives them another level of authority to enforce submission to them,” Cult Awareness and Information Centre spokeswoman Helen Pomery told the Courier.
Divine reincarnation or not, the holy couple has worked wonders for local real estate. Miller and Luck’s move to Wilkesdale reportedly sparked an “unlikely property boom,” as their followers aggressively purchased much of the surrounding land.
In 2009, followers pooled together $400,000 to purchase roughly one square mile of land, where they currently hold weekly meetings and plan to build an international visitors center.

Hate crimes against Muslims surge in UK following Woolwich incident

Hate crimes directed towards Muslims taking place across Britain have been running at more than 10 times the usual rate since this week?s killing of a soldier in broad daylight in Woolwich, south east London.

Muslim leaders in Britain are accusing groups like the British National Party (BNP) and the English Defence League (EDL) for fueling racial hatred towards Islam, in an attempt to capitalize on the recent brutal killing of British soldier Lee Rigby.
Since the Woolwich killing, more than 140 hate crimes against Muslims in just 48 hours were reported to a government-backed hotline.
The hate offenses included nine attacks on mosques, racial abuse, assaults and anti-Muslim graffiti.
A petrol bomb was also thrown at a mosque in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, during Friday prayers while violence was reported in Gillingham, Braintree, Bolton and Cambridge
BNP leader Nick Griffin, who is known for his anti-Islam views, incited widespread disgust after tweeting that the Woolwich suspects should be wrapped in ?pig skin? and shot again.

What must be the Christian response to these attacks?

How can we continue to oppose false religion and Christless philosophy gripping both Britain and the European Continent?
We must be radical. But we must begin by re-defining what it means to be a ?radical Christian?. We cannot allow this phrase to be hijacked by journalists so that it becomes synonymous with hate and killing. This would be a media coup for the powerful anti-Christian lobby. The Media have already made the word ?fundamentalist? synonymous with hate, intolerance and violence. Every person who takes the Bible seriously is branded ?fundamentalist? and therefore a potential threat to society.
The pure meaning of ?radical? is ?that which goes back to the roots of something?. Our faith is rooted in the person of Christ ? his teaching, his example and his work of redemption. Jesus came to save a lost humanity. This is our only hope and we must proclaim his message of salvation clearer and more boldly that ever. Only the transforming power of the Holy Spirit can save a person, a nation or a society.
But preaching alone is not enough. We must?show?them the doctrine of Christ and live as true, radical disciples of Christ. At root, Jesus? message was about love ? love to God and our neighbour. The truly radical Christian takes the words of Jesus and lives them out uncompromisingly. This is the ?extremism? we should be known for.
But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you (Matthew 5:44)
If everyone who named the name of Christ showed more of this form of radicalism, the world would be a much better place.

Video: Pope Francis Performs 'Exorcism' on Wheelchair-Bound Man?

Video appears to show Pontiff perform exorcism on wheelchair-bound boy after Sunday Mass. The Pope has been captured on film performing an apparent exorcism. Footage taken in St Peter’s Square purports to show Pope Francis carrying out a ritual to liberate a young man from demons.

The disabled man went into a frenzy of convulsions and shook, then slumped as Francis prayed over him.
The Pontiff was introduced to two men in wheelchairs after Pentecostal mass on Sunday. When a priest leaned across to tell Francis something, the Pope’s expression took on a serious tone.
Francis then took hold of the top of the man’s head firmly, pushing him down into his wheelchair. As he delivered an intense prayer, the man’s mouth dropped open and he heaved deeply half a dozen times, visibly shaking.
After the ritual Francis continued with his usual meetings with the sick who come to St Peter’s.

Vatican TV Shows the Pope ‘Carrying Out Exorcisms

Experts said the footage broadcast on the religious satellite channel TV2000’s programme Vade Retro, shows the Pontiff reciting a prayer to drive evil spirits from the body.
The incident caused a number of media outlets to proclaim that the pope had performed an exorcism against evil spirits, though Fr. Federico Lombardi, the director of the Press Office of the Holy See, clarified in a statement on Tuesday that Pope Francis had “not intended” to perform an exorcism.
“Rather, as he frequently does with the sick and the suffering who come his way, he intended simply pray for a suffering person who had been brought before him,” Lombardi stated.

He?s become an online star, by sharing stunning photos and videos of the Earth from space during his five-month stay on the International Space Station.
But after handing over command of the station to Russian cosmonaut Pavel Vinogradov ahead of his return to Earth on Monday, the Canadian astronaut Commander Chris Hadfield had one more treat for his fans down below: a cover version of David Bowie?s ?Space Oddity.?
In the clip, believed to be the first music video filmed in space, Hadfield floats around the space station singing the 1969 track (with modified lyrics such as, ?Ground control to Major Tom, lock your Soyuz hatch and put your helmet on,? referencing how his spacecraft will land him in Kazakhstan) and playing an acoustic guitar while gazing at the Earth 230 miles below.
He tweeted:

Giant Slayers Arise!

Whether we speak of giants, dragons or institutions of our society, Britain is certainly in need of spiritual warriors! Legend has it that St George, the Patron Saint of England, was a champion dragon slayer!

The image of the teenage David, single-handedly slaying Goliath and rescuing the nation from the Philistine invasion, is one hundred per cent applicable to our situation. We are facing a battle where the odds are impossibly stacked against us.

We can actively engage with the major areas of influence within our society. However, we are thinking so much about mythological dragons but the real giants that do exist in Britain today. David, the shepherd boy, will be our model.

We are facing a battle where the odds are impossibly stacked against us. Christians are a minority group in Britain and the battle is being fought on slanted ground. The Media, generally speaking, is biased against Christianity, especially evangelical Christianity. Our lawmakers are more concerned with pushing back the boundaries of traditional values than they are keen to conserve the Christian consensus present in British culture and history. Big business is selling our birthright for a mess of economic pottage. The children of Esau are still with us today.
The effects of the economical crisis look to be with us for the immediate future and the nation may have to wait a full decade before its economy fully recovers. Without a doubt, the national landscape will be decidedly different when we do finally emerge from the financial crisis. The foreign financial backers who are propping up our economy with loans and investments do not do so merely out of the goodness of their hearts. There will be a religious and spiritual price to pay, and the Christian faith will be the sacrificial lamb.
How then do we fight? Not with the weapons of the world, for sure. The battle is spiritual and ideological, not physical. Love remains the strongest force in the universe, for God himself is love. Compassion, faith, good works and the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ are the only means by which the true enemy will be identified, unmasked and overthrown. Nothing short of a fully mobilized and faith-filled church can ever bring about the much needed reformation of our society.
Hyped-up rhetoric is never enough. We must act. We must engage our world through the love of Christ. We must become the Davids of our generation. After all, if God is with us, who can be against us?

Iran moves American pastor into solitary confinement; possible organ failure

The American pastor jailed in Iran for his faith has been placed in solitary confinement and may now be suffering organ failure, according to family members in Iran who are increasingly alarmed at his deteriorating health.

Saeed Abedini, the 32-year-old Christian and American citizen who is serving an eight-year prison term in Iran, was put in solitary confinement following a ?peaceful, silent protest? in an outside courtyard at Iran?s notoriously brutal Evin prison, according to family members. Conditions at the prison prompted Abedini and other prisoners to sign a petition decrying the lack of medical care and the threats and harsh treatment facing family members who come to visit.

Pastor Saeed Abedini Praying for Boston Bombing Victims From Iranian Prison

American Pastor Saeed Abedini, a U.S. citizen who is suffering from serious injuries at the hands of his Iranian captors, told family members today he is praying for America in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Beaten American Pastor Saeed Prays for America in Wake of Boston Bombings as Medical Care for Him Delayed

During a brief visit with family members today, Pastor Saeed reported that he is suffering intense pain as a result? of untreated internal bleeding ? injuries he sustained from repeated beatings and torture in Iran.
Iranian prison authorities have told Pastor Saeed that he will not receive any medical treatment for his injuries for another two months.
Even as his medical condition worsens, Pastor Saeed told family members he had heard about the terrorist bombings in Boston on the prison radio, expressed his concern, and told them he is praying for the victims and their families during this very challenging time for our nation.
Pastor Saeed became an American citizen on March 11, 2010, and his wife told a Congressional panel last month that becoming an American citizen was one of the proudest moments in his life.
In another example of the emotional and physiological torture Iran has imposed upon Pastor Saeed, he was recently taken to a hospital only to be turned away and returned to his prison cell untreated. He was then beaten again.

Pastor Saeed's Condition Worsens in Iranian Prison – Severely Beaten, Fainting From Internal Bleeding

The American Center for Law and Justice received news that U.S. pastor Saeed Abedini has been severely beaten in Evin Prison in Tehran, denied proper medical care, and experiencing fainting spells.

Pastor Saeed’s Condition Worsens in Iranian Prison – Severely Beaten, Fainting From Internal Bleeding

It began last week. American Pastor Saeed Abedini, who is serving an eight-year prison term in Iran because of his Christian faith, has been suffering from internal bleeding for months – injuries received from the beatings in prison. In what could only be viewed as a cruel act of psychological abuse, prison officials took Pastor Saeed to a hospital last week – only to be turned away – and brought back to Evin prison without receiving medical treatment for his internal bleeding.
Now, comes word out of Iran, that the beatings and physical abuse are intensifying. Pastor Saeed reported today that last week he was severely beaten the same day?the prison officials took him to the hospital. During the weekly prison visit today, Pastor Saeed’s family reported that his physical condition is worsening – seeing first-hand the marks and symptoms left by the recent beating. These beatings and the internal injuries are causing Pastor Saeed frequent fainting spells.? Iranian officials are telling Pastor Saeed it could be an additional two months before he will receive medical treatment. Such a delay is inhumane and a gross violation of Iran?s international obligations.
